First of all:

What is a web-hosting?

Your website data (database, images, etc) need to be stored on a computer (web-server) that is connected to the internet 24/7.

This server can be located anywhere in the world and the laws of the respective country applies.

There are many (web) hosting companies that offer to host your website, and it can be daunting to make an informed decision.

Needs vary, but I want to briefly share a recommendation based on my personal experience and values.

My requirements for a decent web-hosting

Here’s what features I was looking for for my own web projects:

As I support many websites that use various hosting providers, I had the chance to compare their performance, support and administration interface.

And here it is… 🥁

My personal web-hosting recommendation

Balancing all the required features I eventually chose CYON, a Swiss hosting provider based (and with servers) in Basel, Switzerland.

The main take-aways:

  • Awesome Performance
Their LiteSpeed servers run on 100% SSD and is therefore a very good match for the latest WordPress versions. It’s finally fun again to create content and navigating the WordPress admin interface. Combined with the official LiteSpeed Caching Plugin websites perform really well.
  • Unlimitted E-Mails included
I want to be flexible with setting up as many e-mail addresses with decent storage space – within my hosting. CYON covers this smoothly.
  • Quick Support
Challenging CYON with loads of in depth questions while setting up this very website, their support has been proven to be very reliable and competent.

So I can personally highly recommend CYON.

Want to get a great web hosting and support me?

Here’s how it works:

  1. Visit the CYON Website.
  2. Purchase any of their web hosting offers.
  3. I will get a small one-time comission, you don’t pay extra.

Appreciate your support!

Sounds good, I want to know more!

Have a look at their offers and reach out to me if you have questions.
